The Young Series
A sub-series of Portrait Profiles, The Young Series is sets of portraits of teenagers in New York City, Tokyo, Japan, and O’ahu, Hawaii. After making New York Young, I wanted to create the same style of street portraits in these three distinct locations in order to delve deeper into teen culture.
Portrait Profiles are sets of typologies that were inspired by long walks on the streets of New York City. After observing so much diversity, I started wanting to connect the patterns I saw and do one of the many things photography does best: place people from different times and places together in order to tell a new story.
